Although I had participated in the development of various web-based applications before, the Partsmart company website (http://www.partsmart-corp.com) had been the first project in which I had been responsible for every single piece of work, including website architecture, composition, color scheme, both static and dynamic contents, server-side programming, database, scripting and etc. I have also maintained the website since 2003.

I completely redesigned the database to have data better organized. By using combination of server side programming and client side scripting, I made the product information easy to access.

The implementation of a registration/login mechanism helped protecting our web contents from unauthorized access. I designed and implemented the whole module.

This is my recent work as a integration of website design and web application development. Partsmart Online Retail Store (http://www.partsmart-online.com) is a e-Commerce website we recently rolled out for our retail customers. The implementation of shopping cart system is based on an existing system. I made modification to it to fix bugs, improve UI friendliness / usability, and support new features. I also designed page layout, website navigation and color scheme.

"Tea House Trio" is kinda an unexpected project for me. In Summer 2004, my wife and her friends thought about making their first website to promote knowledge of Chinese tea. They collaborated to gather bunch of information and asked my help to put them together as they didn't have many experience at that time. I helped designed the structure and wrote PHP and javascripts for the dynamic portion.
